The Fine Silk Natural Sea Sponge (Spongia officinalis) is also known as matapas. Its a quite dence, Elastic and flexible Sponge. Its main trait is the Velvety sensation that its Fine Texture creates.To this characteristic , it own its name Fine Silk, and to the fact that it leaves the skin after the use Velvety Soft!
Ideal and Unmatched as a Bath Sponge, Cosmetic sponge in smaller sizes (make up , face wash sponge) .
The Best for the sensitive skin of Babies and Children! Its also widely used, as an Eco friendly way to was the dishes!
It can be used with soap, shower gel , face wash etc, as long as you rinse it off when you finish and leave it in a dry surface to dry!!

The Fine Silk Natural Sea Sponges have a very long lifetime durability (up to 15 years in their Natural Colour - Brown!!) as long as they are maintained properly, Which is to rinse them of with fresh water when we finish using them and leave them in a dry surface to air dry, or hang them by their rope if they have one!
Note : All the Natural Sponges Shrink in Size & are Hard when they are Dry! Wet it and Squeeze it with your Hand until the water penetrates all its pores, so you can see its actual size & amazing Feeling!!

It's denser than the honeycomb sponge, I have it in a small size to clean my face with it, it's absolutely great, I can only praise and recommend. Plus, it's natural, ecological and environmental friendly, brought to us with care and from the heart by a small local family business. Happy customer here, surely I'll buy again in the future.
