BLUE/GERMAN CHAMOMILE – THE PLANT

Scientific name: Matricaria Recutita.

Description: Naturally occurring shrub of the Asteraceae family.

Origins: In low-lying and uncultivated areas of fertile Europe.

History: Its Latin name, originating from the word matrix, refers to its use against mentstruation problems throughout history.

There are testimonials about its therapeutic use by ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, Germans and Scandinavians for thousands of years.

GERMAN CHAMOMILE – ”BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL

Technique: Extracted from the flowered tops of the plant through steam distillation.

Composition: Contains sesquiterpenes (chamazulene) , sesquiterpenols and oxides. Chamazulene is responsible for the blue colour and the therapeutic qualities.

Scent: Sweet, fruity, intense, and colour blue.

Country: Bulgaria.
