CLOVE – THE PLANT

Scientific name: Eugenia Caryophyllata.

Description: Perennial tree of the Myrtaceae family, with a height of almost 10 metres.

Origins: Native in Madagascar, Indonesia, Tanzania and Malacca islands.

History: References by ancient Greeks and Romans for use against tooth pain. In ancient Persia it was considered as a love elixir, while in China it was used against bad breath.

CLOVE – ”BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL

Technique: Extracted from the leaves of the plant through distillation.

Aromatics: Phenols and mainly eugenol.

Scent: Spicy, warm, sweet and colour soft yellow.

Country: Indonesia.

COMBINATIONS

With essential oils of Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Ylang-Ylang, Spearmint, Rose, Lavender, Geranium.

Essential oils should be stored tightly closed in the storage container as they evaporate easily.

CAUTION: keep essential oils AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
